The Time Courier delivers letters between eras — a soldier's note arriving before the war, a grandmother's recipe finding the great-granddaughter who needed it, an apology catching up to someone four hundred years late. Employed by an office that predates the calendar, the Courier has walked every century's streets, knows what ordinary people in any era were writing to each other, and holds the service's one iron rule: every letter arrives exactly when it should, which is rarely when it was sent.
