Russia warns UK over drones used in Ukraine
Russia warned Britain of consequences and a higher price after reports that UK-made drones used by Ukraine carried out long-range strikes inside Russia, including on oil refineries and warehouses. Moscow described London as deliberately escalating the Ukraine crisis and acting as an accomplice to Kyiv’s attacks. The reports identified drones tied to British defense firms, including a Callen-Lenz subsidiary of BAE Systems, in operations that have broadened cross-border hostilities. The UK has been a major supporter of Ukraine, providing military aid and drone capabilities as part of a broader Western effort. The warnings come as Russia accuses Western arms deliveries of fueling the conflict and as the cross-border strikes feed into ongoing tensions between Moscow and London.
