Scalable Capital opens AI platform, first European bank
Rakuten Securities announced it will launch Rakuten Securities AI Chat Support on September 2, upgrading from a scripted AI Chat to a generative-AI agent that understands natural language and provides tailored responses, initially handling administrative inquiries with potential future expansion to personalized procedures and advisory services. German fintech Scalable Capital, an ECB-authorised bank, opened its platform to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, enabling Agentic Investing to carry out trades and a range of tasks through natural-language prompts with user oversight and trade approvals. The integration enables real-time trading, portfolio analysis, and personalized insights through conversational AI, marking a major step in European fintech toward AI-assisted retail investing. Features include native search for stocks, ETFs, and derivatives, access to news and quotes, and free real-time data, all accessible via prompts while maintaining user control over actions. Scalable Capital emphasizes that AI outputs do not originate from the firm and are not investment advice, with a secure bridge connecting AI models to the execution engine. Collectively, the articles illustrate a broader shift toward AI-enabled finance, expanding access and efficiency for retail investors and delegating routine tasks to AI assistants across platforms.
