Alibaba expands QwenWork to global markets
Alibaba unveiled the Qwen3.8-Flash multi-modal MoE model with 125 billion parameters and cost-efficient activation, signaling bold competition in the AI landscape. The company also previewed Qwen4 and pushed forward with international expansion through QwenWork, its all-in-one AI workplace platform now in public beta for web and desktop. QwenWork integrates QoderWork, MuleRun, and Wukong to enable natural-language-driven, multi-step tasks across websites, apps, and local files, with an Awareness feature for cross-session continuity. The international edition of QwenWork targets high-growth regions such as Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, with multilingual support planned and a subscription/credit pricing model. Alibaba’s broader push into AI productivity tools is complemented by market guidance noting a premium valuation on its stock and ongoing insider activity around its leadership’s holdings. Collectively, the rollout emphasizes Alibaba’s strategy to embed AI across enterprise software and cloud-native workflows globally.
