BusinessPort of Los Angeles Posts Second-Busiest July
The Port of Los Angeles handled 960,464 TEUs in July, its second-busiest July on record, with imports at 499,552 TEUs and overall volume supported by persistent consumer demand despite a 6% year-over-year dip from last year’s peak. Through July the port processed about 6.08 million TEUs, and analysts expect August to stay strong with more than 900,000 TEUs as retailers front-load goods ahead of tariff changes and ongoing supply-chain shifts.
