The Appellate Court upheld the reduced award and the award of interest but remanded for a new hearing on the interest amount. The Supreme Court affirmed that the reduction was not an improper modification of the original judgment and that the trial court had discretion to award interest from the date of the reargument order, but reversed the remand because the record was sufficient to support the trial court's interest determination.
