Weight-Loss Drives Surge in Men's Cosmetic Surgeries

A growing share of men are turning to cosmetic procedures, with Botox and other interventions becoming more common beyond traditional grooming. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported male cosmetic procedures rose 8% in 2023 and 7% in 2024, driven by neuromodulator injections and related treatments. A separate trend ties rapid weight loss from GLP-1 drugs to increased demand for procedures addressing loose skin, facial changes, and hair loss, with men making up about 28.3% of weight‑loss drug prescriptions in 2026. Overall, around 1.7 million cosmetic procedures were performed on men in 2024, a 2.7% rise, and early 2026 data suggest a large share of surgical cases involve patients with GLP-1 treatment histories.
