The 21 of Libya and the Forgiveness That Followed

Twenty Egyptian Copts and one Ghanaian, migrant workers kidnapped in Libya, were killed for refusing to renounce their faith, many with a prayer on their lips. What the world could not look away from came after: their mothers and brothers went on television to say they forgave and prayed for the killers. The 21 were recognized as martyrs, and their village church now bears their names.
