Tayvon Gray extends contract with NYCFC through 2028-29
NYCFC defender Tayvon Gray, a Bronx native and Homegrown, signed a contract extension through the 2028-29 MLS season with an option for 2029-30. The 24-year-old has made 175 appearances across all competitions, with 3 goals and 15 assists, and helped NYCFC win the 2021 MLS Cup and the 2022 Campeones Cup, while setting the club record for most appearances by a Homegrown player. Sporting Director Todd Dunivant said the club is delighted to have Gray and praised his lockdown defensive mentality and his importance to the team. Gray has earned Century Club status with 100 appearances for NYCFC and has represented Jamaica since 2023, including nine international caps. He reiterated his commitment to continuing to win and contribute as the team looks ahead to Etihad Park.
