Dragonflies Self-Titled Album Debut

Dhani Harrison and Nigel Godrich have formed a new band, Dragonflies, releasing a self-titled debut album on Sept. 18 via Dark Horse Records/BMG, led by the lead single Slower and its hand-drawn Ruffmercy video. The collaboration, sparked during the Covid lockdown, pairs Harrison's singing/guitar with Godrich's real-time production from tape loops, drawing inspiration from artists like Beth Gibbons, David Sylvian, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Lily Allen Documentary for Prime Video in 2027

Prime Video is developing a feature-length Lily Allen documentary directed by Mat Whitecross, charting her rise from the Queen of MySpace to a contemporary cultural figure, with global release planned for 2027. The film will include interviews with people close to Allen and is produced by Magna Studios and Mint Pictures, with Altitude handling worldwide theatrical and home entertainment rights.

Shatner, Daughter Cancer-Free, Launch Podcast

William Shatner, 95, and his daughter Melanie Shatner Gretsch, 61, both battled stage 4 cancers—Melanie’s breast cancer diagnosed in 2022 and William’s melanoma in 2023—and have since been cancer-free, supporting each other through treatment and continuing their life and career. They’re sharing their story to inspire resilience, emphasize family support, and promote early detection, including a health-focused podcast they’ve launched together.

Offset Granted Probation Over LA Dispensary Assault

Offset Kiari Cephus received probation after a March 2025 incident at MedMen LAX, with no jail time, under a diversion/sentencing order that imposes community service, anger management, restitution, and a stay-away requirement from the dispensary; compliant completion could result in the case being dismissed.
