Rupert Grint Returns as Ron; Tom Felton Joins
Rupert Grint will reprise Ron Weasley on Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for a strictly limited 17-week run from February 2 to May 30, 2027, at the Lyric Theatre. The revival follows Tom Felton’s recent involvement, making Grint the second original Potter film actor to join the stage production, which remains a top-grossing non-musical Broadway show. The show is set 19 years after the original books, following Harry, Hermione, Ron, and their children, and has celebrated a decade of West End runs while continuing to draw new Broadway interest. Grint, now 38 and a father, calls returning to Ron a full-circle moment and a chance to revisit the character in a more mature phase of life. Tickets and presale details are being promoted ahead of the general sale, reflecting the franchise’s ongoing popularity among fans. Producers and multiple outlets continue to highlight the long-running appeal of the Cursed Child production.
