Empire Metals Reports Largest Titanium Resource at Pitfield
Empire Metals reports interim results for the six months to 30 June 2026, signaling transformational progress at its Pitfield titanium project. A large-scale drilling programme comprising 712 holes and 34,844 metres underpins a significantly upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate of 8.16 billion tonnes at 4.3% TiO2, confirming Pitfield as the world's largest titanium resource with a first Measured Resource defined. The company has also established an integrated metallurgical processing flowsheet capable of producing high-purity TiO2 pigment and titanium sponge metal feedstock using conventional methods. Financially, the group notes a cash position of £12.4 million, an £8 million equity subscription from existing shareholders, and the sale of its Eclipse Mining Lease for A$750,000, alongside ongoing dual listing preparations on the ASX for H2 2026. Management emphasizes the shift from exploration to development, with updated presentations linking the upgraded resource to processing and commercialisation strategies. Overall, Pitfield remains the central focus as Empire progresses toward leveraging its large-scale resource through processing, logistics, and market access considerations.
