Plot
Twelve-year-old Jay Keaton's life is in grave danger, he stumbles across a shocking discovery at the company his father used to work at. He and his friend Mel are on the run from the corrupt cloning company EmbroGen! The two children are on a dangerous mission to stop EmbroGen and reveal them for what they really are.
Cast and characters
Alex Roe as Jay Keaton, a typical twelve-year-old with a high IQ and a talent for numbers and science. Already preparing to sit his physics A Level, he is dismissed as a nerd by his schoolmates and has no real friends until Mel. Jay is shocked when Uncle Harry reveals a family secret involving the illegal cloning of human children, which puts him and sister Fleecey in danger, forcing him to fend for himself on the run and protect her from Salko and EmbroGen. He discovers his strength and courage, two qualities he will need in order to keep his secret away from those who wish to exploit it.
Hannah van der Westhuysen as Fleecey Keaton, Jay's bubbly nine-year-old sister, also with a high IQ but less keen on schoolwork. Like other siblings, Jay and Fleecey get on each other's nerves from time to time, but they are close. She misses him when he runs away, so much so that she sets off to find him, putting them both in the peril of EmbroGen's trouble-sorters, including Salko's right-hand man Boyer and his partner Lomas.
Ciara O'Connor as Melanie "Mel" Banks, fiery and outspoken and impulsive, is definitely a tough cookie. Like any kid, she spends her life on her mobile phone and has regular arguments with her mum, Glenda, about her messy bedroom. Mel first comes across Jay when she saves him from bullies trying to steal his bag. After getting into trouble for allowing Jay to spend the night in her wardrobe, she decides to run away from home and join him on his adventure. She does not realise what she is getting into nor the implications of discovering the truth.
Alex Roe as J2, one of Jay's first clones. Unlike Jay, his right eye is not green but bright blue. J2 is used by EmbroGen to impersonate Jay to bring the nationwide search for him to an end.
