"The Apprentice" is the fourth episode of the fourth season of the American fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time, which aired on October 19, 2014. In this episode, Mr. Gold forces Hook to help him put a man (the Apprentice) inside the hat, while flashbacks show Rumplestiltskin's past encounter with Anna.
