Near-Total Lunar Eclipse Across Americas and Europe
On August 28, 2026, a deep partial lunar eclipse will occur, with about 96% of the Moon entering Earth's shadow and the partial phase lasting around 3 hours 18 minutes within a total event of about 5 hours 38 minutes. Because it will happen during daytime in India, the eclipse will not be visible there and Sutak observances are not applicable; however, visibility will be favorable across North and South America, Europe, and parts of Africa.

L&T Heavy Engineering Bags ₹5,000-Crore Global Orders
LT Heavy Engineering has won large international orders up to ₹5,000 crore across Asia, Africa, North and South America, and Europe, including Dangote Group refinery and fertiliser expansion projects in Nigeria and Ethiopia, a repeat LNG-related order from a Japanese customer for Canada, and core equipment orders from Spain, the US and Brazil. In the same period, L&T reported a 3.12% fall in Q4 net profit to ₹5,325.60 crore despite an 11.25% rise in revenue.
