L&T Heavy Engineering Bags ₹5,000-Crore Global Orders
L&T Heavy Engineering has secured large international orders totaling up to ₹5,000 crore across five regions—Asia, Africa, North America, South America, and Europe—highlighting its growing global footprint in process plant equipment. The deals include Dangote Group projects in Nigeria and Ethiopia for a mega refinery and multi-train fertiliser expansion, with scope covering critical equipment such as the world’s largest FCC reactor regenerator package and key urea and ammonia gear. The company also reported a repeat order from a Japanese customer for heat exchangers and absorbers for an LNG project in Canada, along with orders for coke drums, fractionator columns and heat exchangers from Spain, the US, and Brazil. Anil Parab, L&T’s Whole-time Director and Senior EVP of Manufacturing, said the orders reflect strong trust in L&T’s manufacturing capabilities and track record. Separately, L&T’s Metals & Minerals vertical secured up to ₹15,000 crore in orders from domestic metals and mining firms, as noted in the same updates. These filings collectively underscore L&T’s expanding international footprint and diversified portfolio in heavy engineering and core equipment.
