Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kōji Kumeta. It was serialized in Kodansha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine from April 2005 to June 2012, with its chapters collected in 30 tankōbon volumes. The series follows Nozomu Itoshiki, a teacher who takes all aspects of life, world, and culture in the most negative light possible. The series satirizes politics, media, and Japanese society.
