Saranam Ayyappa is 1980 Indian Tamil-language devotional film, directed and produced by Dasarathan. The film stars Jayabharathi the lead role. It was released on 28 November 1980. To seek blessings from Ayyappan to make the film successful, the director Dasarathan and his crew undertook a pilgrimage from Chennai to Sabarimala. Soundtrack The music was composed by Chandrabose. The song "Poiyindri Meiyyodu" became hugely popular. Kamal Haasan recorded a song "Anna Vaada" for this film.
