REC Q1 FY27 Net Profit ₹4,149 Cr
REC Ltd reported a Q1 FY27 standalone net profit of ₹4,149.46 crore, down 6.8% YoY, with improving asset quality and a first interim dividend of ₹4.25 per share, while consolidated results rose to ₹4,192.76 crore on ₹14,469.49 crore of income. The board also approved a merger by absorption with Power Finance Corporation, set at an 88-for-100 share exchange and an appointed date of April 1, 2027, along with related governance updates.

REC Limited, formerly Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, is an Indian public sector company that finances and promotes power projects across India. It loans to Central/State Sector Power Utilities, State Electricity Boards, Rural Electric Cooperatives, NGOs and Private Power Developers. It is a subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
