Runway launched Media Router, an AI model router on the Runway Dev platform that automatically selects the optimal image, video, or audio model based on quality, speed, or cost, routing requests across Runway's models and third-party options. It marks Runway’s shift toward becoming an infrastructure layer for generative media, offering cost control through token-based pricing, auditing, moderation, and private instances, with early integration from partners like Adobe, Cloudflare, ElevenLabs, Expedia, Shutterstock, and Quora.
