The Promised Land (, translit.: ha'aretz hamuvtakhat; , translit.: ard al-mi'ad; also known as "The Land of Milk and Honey") is Middle Eastern land that Abrahamic religions claim their God promised and subsequently gave to Abraham and several more times to his descendants. It evokes the concepts of a homeland for the Jewish people and salvation and liberation in modern contexts.
