Night Watch

Night Watch is a fantasy novel by the Russian author Sergei Lukyanenko, the first to feature his fictional world of The Others. It was first published in Russia by AST in 1998. The novel is first in a cycle continued in Day Watch, Twilight Watch, Last Watch, New Watch, and Sixth Watch. "Desinty", the first story contained here, was made into the successful Russian film, Night Watch. While retaining many characters events, the adaptation alters some significant elements of the story. The second and third stories of the novel were adapted into the film's 2006 sequel, Day Watch.
