Michael Wayne Burns is an American former professional football defensive back who played two seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions. He was selected by the 49ers in the sixth round of the 1977 NFL draft. He played college football at Contra Costa College and the University of Southern California.
