Micron Details Boise Lab, Albany EUV Center funding split
Micron announced Micron Research Labs, a U.S.-based, long-horizon memory and compute research hub headquartered in Boise backed by a $10 billion investment over the next decade, with extensive university collaborations, global satellite labs, and broad ecosystem partnerships. In parallel, the company is funding North America’s first publicly owned High-NA EUV lithography center in Albany, New York as part of a public-private partnership, a $10 billion project with IBM, Applied Materials and Tokyo Electron to strengthen domestic memory technology and manufacturing capabilities.

Micron Technology, Inc. is an American multinational semiconductor company that manufactures computer memory and computer data storage products, including dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), flash memory, High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), and solid-state drives (SSDs). Founded in 1978 in Boise, Idaho, Micron is the only major American computer memory manufacturer. It is one of the "Big Three" computer memory manufacturers, along with the South Korean companies Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
