Fatherland

Fatherland is a 2026 biographical film directed by Paweł Pawlikowski, who co-wrote the screenplay with Hendrik Handloegten. The film stars Sandra Hüller and Hanns Zischler as Erika and Thomas Mann, respectively, as they embark on a road trip across Germany during the Cold War. The film forms the final part of the Pawlikowski's trilogy of historical films, following Ida (2013) and Cold War (2018).
