Dublin Man Convicted of Murder on Suspended Sentence
Derek Boyd, 31, was found guilty of murdering Mark Carroll at his Dublin home in June 2024 while serving a suspended sentence for his sister’s manslaughter. Prosecutors said the stabbing was a calculated, murderous attack, the defense argued it was self-defense, and Boyd fled to the UK after the killing.

Dior's First Ireland Fashion Show Planned in Dublin

Dior, led by Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson, will stage its Fall 2027 show at Trinity College Dublin this December, marking the luxury house’s first-ever show in Ireland and the first time Anderson has full creative control of the brand's collections presented there. The event will be unveiled in the historic Old Library at Ireland’s oldest university, reinforcing Anderson’s personal connection to Dublin and Dior’s landmark expansion into Ireland.
