Southampton's Eckert charged by FA over Spygate
FA charges Tonda Eckert with three breaches of FA Rule E3.1 for directing or authorising spying on training sessions of Oxford United, Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough ahead of matches in late 2025 and 2026, a move linked to Southampton's expulsion from the Championship play-offs and a four-point deduction. Southampton and owner Dragan Solak have publicly backed Eckert and said they will cooperate with the FA as the investigation continues and a response deadline approaches.
