Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is a 2022 American live-action/animated action-adventure comedy film based on the characters Chip 'n' Dale, and is a follow-up to the 1989 animated TV series of the same name. Directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by the writing team of Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, the film stars John Mulaney and Andy Samberg as the voices of the respective eponymous pair, alongside Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Tress MacNeille, Tim Robinson, J. K. Simmons, and KiKi Layne co-starring in supporting roles, with the latter in a live-action role.

Decades since their successful television series was canceled, Chip has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. Dale, meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former cast mate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.
