The Boii were a Gallic people who settled south of the Po, between the river and the Apennines, in what is now Emilia-Romagna, from about the early 4th century BC. They formed part of the Celtic presence in Northern Italy that the Romans grouped together as the inhabitants of Gallia Cisalpina.
