WorldEaton Fire Survivors Rally for CARE Fund
More than 100 Eaton Fire survivors and local leaders traveled to Sacramento to press state lawmakers for a $25 million Community Aid for Rebuilding and Equity Fund to cover rebuilding gaps and preserve affordable housing, including provisions for gap funding and potential land-banking for affordable homes. Support from groups such as the NAACP and the Dena Rise Up coalition underscored the fire’s devastation and the need to prevent displacement of long-time residents.
