The Son is a 2022 drama film directed by Florian Zeller from a screenplay written by himself and Christopher Hampton. It is based on Zeller's 2018 stage play of the same name. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Zen McGrath, and Hugh Quarshie. Anthony Hopkins has a minor appearance in this film playing the main character's father (but a different father from Zeller's previous film).
