River AI has raised about $1.1 billion in seed and Series A funding led by General Catalyst and AMP PBC, with strategic investment from NVIDIA and AMD Ventures, and is aiming to create AI that belongs to users rather than labs. Its River API enables LoRA fine-tuning and reinforcement learning on frontier open-weight models, allowing developers to train and deploy personal, continually improving AI while highlighting a multi-billion-dollar valuation in coverage of the round.
Temasek plans to invest about $9-10 billion in India over the next three years, broadening its exposure into industrials and artificial intelligence while maintaining bets in consumer, financial services, and healthcare. The $42 billion-strong India portfolio is being positioned for long-term growth with continued emphasis on AI, renewables, and domestic-market strengths, including a target to raise AI share to roughly 15% of its global portfolio by 2031.
