A 33-year-old Shake Shack employee, Keondre Simmons, robbed his Scottsdale store at gunpoint on Aug. 3, forcing coworkers into a walk-in cooler, taking about $2,800, and destroying phones and the landline before returning to work two days later and being arrested. Investigators tied him to the crime through surveillance and his familiarity with the store layout, including a sick-day departure pattern that morning.
