Raine Allen-Miller

Raine Allen-Miller (born September 1989) is a British film director and writer. Her first feature film, Rye Lane, was released in 2023. Early life Born in Manchester, England, Allen-Miller spent her early childhood in Moss Side, an inner-city area towards the southern part of the city. The film director noted that her mother has worked in prisons teaching art, and has created centres to support pupils excluded from schools. When Allen-Miller was 12 years old she moved to Brixton, South London, with her father. She stated her dad has been a major source of inspiration; she said he always told her to work hard, and to understand she could be anything she wanted to be.
