Overview
Evin Ahmad (; born ) is a Kurdish-Swedish actress and author. She has been nominated twice for Guldbagge Awards.
Early life
She was born on 8 June 1990 in Stockholm, Sweden to Kurdish parents. Her father is an actor from Sulaymaniyah in Kurdistan, Iraq and her mother is from Afrin in Syria. She grew up in the Akalla district of Stockholm where she lived for 22 years.
Career
Ahmad studied at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. She made her screen debut in 2007 with a film adaptation of Jonas Hassen Khemiri's novel Ett Öga Rött.
She gained recognition in 2019 for her roles in the Danish post-apocalyptic series The Rain and the Swedish crime drama Quicksand.
