Syria Seeks Security Deal With Israel
Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa said Damascus is pursuing a security agreement with Israel, with multiple countries involved, that could pave the way for comprehensive peace without relinquishing Syria’s claim to the Golan Heights, while stressing Syria has no interest in confrontation as Israeli operations continue near the Golan. He also said Syria will not intervene militarily in Lebanon and is coordinating with Beirut on regional crises, amid broader regional diplomacy over security, Kurdish issues, and missing persons.
