Joel Harvey Slomsky (born 1946) is a senior United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Education and career Born in Brooklyn, New York, Slomsky received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College in 1967 and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1970. He was a Special Attorney of the Criminal Division, Philadelphia Strike Force, United States Department of Justice from 1971 to 1973. He was in private practice in Pennsylvania from 1973 to 2008.
