Harrison Lee Winter

Harrison Lee Winter (April 18, 1921 – April 10, 1990) was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and previously was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Education and career Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Winter received an Artium Baccalaureus degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1942 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1944. He was in private practice in Baltimore from 1945 to 1959. During this time, he was an assistant attorney general of the State of Maryland from 1948 to 1951, and a deputy attorney general from 1954 to 1955.
