Bruce D. Black

Bruce Douglas Black (born July 27, 1947) is an American attorney and jurist who served as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico from 1995 to 2017. Early life and education Born in Detroit, Michigan, Black received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in 1969 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1971. Career He was in private practice in New Mexico from 1972 to 1991. He was a judge on the New Mexico Court of Appeals from 1991 to 1995.
