SecondFi shuts down after $2.6M ADA theft
SecondFi and Yoroi wallet services are winding down after a flaw in wallet-generation/transaction-signing enabled attackers to steal about 16.1 million ADA (around $2.4-$2.6 million) from 374 wallets, with the Cardano base chain unaffected. EMURGO is pursuing recovery tools and a zero-knowledge-based portal, targeting an August release, while questions remain about the extent of recoverable funds, audits, and potential attribution to Lazarus Group.
