Madeline Cox Arleo

Madeline Elizabeth Cox Arleo (born November 25, 1963) is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and a former United States magistrate judge of the same court. Biography Arleo was born in 1963 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 from Rutgers College and a Master of Arts degree in 1986 from Rutgers University. She received a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, in 1989 from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was Editor in Chief of the Law Review. She began her legal career as a law clerk to Judge Marie L. Garibaldi of the New Jersey Supreme Court, from 1989 to 1990. She worked at the law firm of Clapp & Eisenberg from 1990 to 1994 and at the law firm of Barry & McMoran from 1994 to 1998. From 1998 to 2000, she was a partner at the law firm of Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry, LLP, where her practice focused on civil litigation in Federal and State courts. Federal judicial service
