Carolyn Berger

Carolyn Berger is a former justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, and a former vice chancellor on the Delaware Court of Chancery. She was the first female member of both courts. Early life Berger received a B.A. from the University of Rochester in 1969, an M.A. in Elementary Education from Boston University School of Education in 1971, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1976. Career Before joining the bench, she served as a state deputy attorney general from 1976 to 1979, and then was in private practice as Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom from 1979 to 1984.
