Overview
Linda Vivienne Parker (born February 17, 1958) is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Biography
Parker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980 from the University of Michigan. She received a Juris Doctor in 1983 from George Washington University Law School. From 1983 to 1985, she served as a law clerk to the District of Columbia Superior Court. She worked as a staff attorney at the United States Environmental Protection Agency from 1985 to 1989. From 1989 to 1994, she worked at the Detroit law firm of Dickinson Wright, becoming a partner in 1992. From 1994 to 2000, she served as an executive assistant United States attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan. She served as director of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights from 2003 to 2008. Beginning in 2009, she served as a judge of the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan.
