Raymond Sanger Wilkins was a justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court from 1944 to 1970, serving as chief justice after 1956. He was appointed by Governor Christian Herter. He graduated from Harvard College in 1912, and Harvard Law School in 1915.
