Charles and Camilla to Tour Caribbean for CHOGM

King Charles III and Queen Camilla will undertake a multi-nation autumn tour of the Caribbean, visiting the Bahamas, Guyana, and Antigua and Barbuda to coincide with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda. The eight-day itinerary includes the King, as head of state in the Bahamas and Guyana, and culminates with a CHOGM gathering that aims to celebrate communities, cultures and nature within the Commonwealth. The trip will mark the King’s first official visit to Antigua and Barbuda as monarch, while also continuing the royal itinerary that previously saw engagements across Barbados and the wider Caribbean. The tour is described as spanning roughly a 10,000-mile journey, linking state visits and a major multilateral summit. The latest announcement follows a pattern of royal travel to reinforce Britain's diplomatic ties, with Guyana's state visit marking six decades of UK-Guyana relations and CHOGM drawing business, civil society and youth delegates.
