Widespread roadworks hit four regions across Bermuda, Canada, UK, New York
Roadworks are underway or scheduled across several locales, with lane closures and construction impacting commutes. In Hamilton Parish, North Shore Road near Crawl Hill will have a lane closed for fuel-line inspection, extending work to the end of next month and operating 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Island Construction supervising traffic flow. In Lethbridge, two maintenance projects will affect traffic on Aug. 27–28: northbound 13 Street South closed between 9 Avenue South and 10 Avenue South, with southbound traffic retained in two-way flow, and guard-rail work on Whoop-Up Drive from 9 a.m. on Aug. 27 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 28. In Brighton & Hove, Western Road is set for autumn reconstruction between Holland Road and Montpelier Road, including deeper structural repairs, with about 45 days of phased closures and measures to maintain pedestrian access and bus routes. In Endicott, Route 17C will undergo maintenance paving Aug. 31 into Sept. 1, with alternating lane closures and at least one lane open in each direction. The projects reflect ongoing efforts to address road surface deterioration, safety, and traffic management, with local authorities asking drivers to follow signs and heed schedules.
