Unity Metals has announced the first modern drill results at its O’Phlay Gold Project in eastern Cambodia, delivering a standout intersection of 40 metres at 1.9 g/t gold from 82 metres in hole 26DDCM001, with a higher-grade subset of 5–17 metres including 10.5 g/t, signaling strong potential for intrusion-related gold systems. The results come from the maiden 3,000-metre, 21-hole program targeting a broad zone of diorite-hosted gold-bearing veins adjacent to historical open pits and a coincident GAIP chargeability anomaly, which together suggest a substantial and testable mineralised footprint open at depth and along strike. Despite visible historical mining activity at Camp Prospect, this marks Unity’s first modern drilling at O’Phlay and confirms the mineralisation style is consistent with other IRG deposits in the region, including Unity’s Ngot project and the nearby Okvau mine. Company management emphasises the result as the best Cambodian intercept Unity has achieved to date, prompting an immediate plan to extend the drilling program to follow up at depth and along strike while awaiting assays from remaining holes. The market-wide interest is accompanied by ongoing testing of two prominent GAIP anomalies spanning over 1.8 km, with further assay results expected in the coming weeks as the program progresses. Overall, the early results validate Unity’s exploration model for O’Phlay and set the stage for potential resource growth as drilling advances.
