Colts WR Arrest Details Expanded
Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen was arrested in downtown Indianapolis around 1 a.m. Sunday on preliminary misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and DWI endangering a person. Police records show he was taken to the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of South Meridian Street, as Allen had just made his preseason debut, where he caught a 24-yard pass against the Detroit Lions. Allen, 34, had joined the Colts on a one-year contract earlier in the month and the team said they were gathering more information with no further comment at this time. Multiple outlets noted the charges as misdemeanors and that no formal charges had been filed at the time of initial reports. The Colts and the league are assessing potential implications ahead of the regular season as this remains a developing story.
