Seahawks extend Leonard Williams through 2029
Seattle has signed defensive lineman Leonard Williams to a three-year, $90 million extension that guarantees $56 million and keeps him with the team through 2029. At 32, Williams has been a cornerstone for Seattle since joining in 2023 and played a key role in their Super Bowl run. Coaches and analysts regard him as among the league’s top interior defenders. The deal comes as Seattle continues a strategy of extending core players after nine-figure contracts for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Devon Witherspoon and others. Williams’ presence, alongside Byron Murphy and the development of Rylie Mills, underpins Seattle’s interior line for the near future. ESPN and NFL Network insiders first reported the extension.
