Kenya strengthens Ebola readiness as India delivers 4.5 tonnes of medical supplies
India has steadily deepened its health partnership with Kenya by delivering multiple Ebola preparedness aid consignments, starting with a first tranche of 4.5 tonnes—279 packages of PPE, infrared thermometers and related infection-control supplies—handed over at JKIA, with a second tranche planned. Kenya says the aid strengthens KNPHI, disease surveillance, sample handling, and frontline protection to bolster Ebola and future pandemic readiness, as a five-tonne donation further reinforces preparedness.
